Language disorders (speech, hearing, reading etc.) and their remediation.

Danish, the majority of course literature is in English.

Access requirements

An upper secondary school leaving examination or comparable qualifications.

Programme requirements

The BA candidate is qualified to work as a speech therapist with all kinds of speech and language disorders – including developmental language disorders (SLI etc.), and acquired disorders (aphasia etc.). The candidate has extensive knowledge of language (30 ECTS), the psychology of language production and perception (15 ECTS), anatomy and physiology (15 ECTS), voice and speech disorders (15 ECTS), analysis of the acoustics of language (7,5 ECTS), language disorders (22,5 ECTS), special education (7,5 ECTS) and statistics (7,5 ECTS), with an additional 3rd year project, and optional subjects outside the main fields of study (30 ECTS).

The MA study consist of courses in audiology, reading and writing skills. The study is concluded with a thesis in an optional subject (30 ECTS).

Professional status

The BA in Audiologopedics qualifies for careers where speech therapists are employed, e.g. in hospitals, school psychological services, communication centres, media (e.g. theatres), and civil service.
