I completed a PhD in Medieval Studies at the Institute for Medieval Studies of the University of Leeds. Previously I obtained an MA in Medieval History with emphasis on Codicology (Cum Laude:110/110 e Lode) at the University of Padua, and a BA on Literary Studies (Hon) at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogotá.
I have been seminar tutor at the University of Leeds, lecturer at the Centre for Lifelong Learning of the University of York, assistant professor at the Universidad Santo Tomás of Bogotá, and seminar tutor at the Department of Historical and Geographic Sciences and the Ancient World of the University of Padua.
I am Fellow of the Società Internazionale di Studi Francescani (SISF), and the Società Italiana degli Storici Medievisti (SISMED).
